Have you looked at the daily lead time value in the CIC (facility planning data) or item master? Mitch Damon, CPIM Planning Systems Manager Agrilink Foods, Rochester NY (585) 383-1070 -----Original Message----- From: Andrea Hardiman [SMTP:ahardiman@ridewellcorp.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 4:04 PM To: Midrange BPCS User Group (E-mail) Subject: Routing and Capacity Interaction upon Release of Shop Packet Using BPCS 4.05CD Question posed to me by our Planning Manager: Why does release of a shop packet schedule receipt an extra day out than needed to produce after reaching a certain quantity. The quantity does not exceed available capacity. It does not even come close to exceeding available capacity. After this initial quantity, it does not add another day for additional quantity added until it reaches available capacity. Which is the result expected for the original quantity. What is the trigger for this first extra day? Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks for your help.
