You are incorrect sir, and so far the only one of several responses to me
that thought my response to be inappropriate. Were the post to be merely
"off topic", as you suggest, it would certainly have received the treatment
that you mentioned. However, it was not just "off topic". It was bigoted,
offensive, ill-timed, and poorly executed. Therefore, the entire list needed
to be aware that this sort of thing will not be allowed here. I apologized
only for the language that I used in my response.

If you think that, then your words speak to your own level of intelligence.

I absolutely did not respond with hatred, although it _WAS_ with a great deal
of anger that someone in this day and age could post something of that nature
in a public forum. You may feel for Al, but I seriously doubt that anyone
else does. Al may unsubscribe if he wishes. Had I not "cooled down" prior
to responding and considered Al's years of heretofore unblemished (other than
the length of his messages) membership, I would have had him yanked from
membership in every single list hosted by midrange.com. Just spoke with the
sys admin, and he agrees that it would have been a possibility.

Tom, I do not banish those that disagree with me. Were I to do that, we
would have a small membership, indeed. Intelligent discourse cannot be had
without disagreement. However, I _DO_ believe that one should choose their
fights carefully, and that you have chosen unwisely in this case...
