Rick-

Our product DataThread has a workflow component that can allow you to
internally route PO's for approval and then send an e-mail to the vendor
when all internal approvals are received. Please check this product out at
http://www.innovatum.com/datathread.htm Feel free to contact me.

Thank you.

Subject: Automating Purchasing process

BPCS 6.1.01 AS400 Mixmod

I realize this is a vague question before I ask it but here goes.
My purchasing mgr is wanting to automate the generation of PO's within our
system to where once they are entered into the system, we could email them
to our correct buyers for verification, and then route them via email to
the correct vendors. Is anyone using a 3rd party software that automates
the purchasing process in any manner. I'm not sure we're ready for a full
blown Supply Chain Mgt package at this time.
