Excellent advice on the zpd logical; Depending on your installed products you may also want to look at: SIH/SIL ESN/ESNW ERH/ERL ERS RTX LLH/LLL EIL ELA -----Original Message----- From: TLuce@esab.com [mailto:TLuce@esab.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 12:22 PM To: bpcs-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: BPCS-L digest, Vol 1 #258 - 4 msgs This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Renato, ZPD file gets cleared with the ORD900 - Order Purge Program (actual program is ORD904B in the stream). It deletes the ZPD records associated with the customer orders that are getting purged. We just changed our settings to retain only 2 years worth of customer order data based upon Entered Date and we are seeing amazing results across the board. Files which get purged with ORD900 are: ECH, ECL, ECS, EDS, IPP (another one that gets big), KAO, PDA, PDF, PDB, and ZPD. Note: ORD900 needs a performance index put against the ZPD with PDORDR as the key. Without this index, the program is very slow. Timothy C.
