Jim You may find my remarks to be insulting, but I believe that evolution favors the smart & the scenario you describe will get rid of companies operated by stupid management. If you are operating an ERP from a company that has gone out of business & you try to migrate it to another computer platform, you deserve to join the ERP vendor in a state of out of business. And in fact if you seriously doubt the viability of SSA today, then you should be seriously shopping around RIGHT NOW for a vendor that you have more confidence in. > ncamino@attglobal.net writes: > > << Your intent may be benign but then you will always be tempted. >> > > I think the question is important considering the questionable viability of > SSA. > When I have to buy a new AS/400, my existing key will not work > on the new serial number.
