Line Promotion Problem -- BPCS-L

we are using BPCS V6.1.01 full client server

We processed an order
we selected the promotion for the line item
The promotion screen shows that the Promotion was taken.

The promtion is an additional discount off of the line item.

the problem here is that the promotion never took the additional discount
off.

Has anyone experienced this or know what could be wrong?
