We stopped short of journaling and wrote a special audit file of those fields we were particularly interested in; which were those fields that govern the customer relationships (invoice to, corp. parent, etc). So now, each time the customer master is changed; instead of writing out the report; we wrote out a record to a new file. We were really only interested in capturing an audit of customer number changes Now when some one asks the question "who changed the invoice to on this customer" we can go to the audit file report; run it for that customer and report back when it changed; what it changed from and, of course, what it changed to. -----Original Message----- From: Raymond Leenhouwers [mailto:raymond_leenhouwers@hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, October 12, 2001 7:46 AM To: bpcs-l@midrange.com Subject: RCM audit trail [ Converted text/html to text/plain ] Hi all, We are live with version 6.1.01. I was wondering if there is a possibility within BPCS where I can look up all transactions in the customer master over a given period for a given customer. I looked at the spoolfiles, but this is not the solution (they are deleted every couple of days and we have too many users). Thanks in advance for your assistence, Raymond Leenhouwers ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Download MSN Explorer gratis van http://explorer.msn.com[1] ===References:=== 1. http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag_itl_NL.asp _______________________________________________ This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list To post a message email: BPCS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/bpcs-l or email: BPCS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l.
