AP locking up

Hi,
     We are on V6.0.4, mixed mode. Our AP person was entering invoices. She
was on that has many lines when her machine locked up. This has happened
before, and this time we were able to get her back into the batch. Other
times we have not been so lucky. Has anyone else had this happen, or know
what is causing it? Is there a fix? Thanks for any assistance.
