Hi Al, I am at a company right now that BPCS 4.05 CD and I went to the SYS menu 
and found it here. 
4. Parameters Generation    (SYS800) 

After pressing enter a number of times it came to screen that looks like this 
at the top. 

SYS800-11    BPCS System Generation         
AS40001     Transaction History System Parameters 

There are a number of days to keep selected here. The one with the heading 
"Inventory Transactions" is for the ITH file.
