  • Subject: New Informational APAR for BPCS posting soon to IBM Site: II12963

Hello,

A new Informational APAR for running BPCS on IBM's AS/400 (eServer iSeries)
will be posted to the IBM SupportLine web site early next week.

II12963 will replace the previous II11801 as your source for information
about required PTFs to run BPCS on the currently supported releases of
OS/400, including V5R1.

The old APAR II11801 will be updated to refer users to the new APAR number
II12963.

This was done because the old Info APAR had been originally opened on a
release of OS/400 which is no longer supported, and this was making the APAR
difficult to find on the internet.

Please refer to II112963 on a regular basis (especially if you are on a
newer release of OS/400) to obtain updates for required PTFs.

PTFs are added to the Informational APAR on an 'as needed' basis by IBM
SupportLine, in cooperation with the SSA GT International Support Center,
whenever a new issue affecting BPCS program functionality is identified.

Once available, the new APAR can be viewed on the IBM Technical Support
website at: http://as400service.rochester.ibm.com or can be downloaded with
SNDPTFORD.

If you have any questions about the new Info APAR, contact the IBM
SupportLine or the SSA GT International Support Center's AS/400 Team for
further information.

Thanks

Genyphyr Novak
SSA GT
