There is no standard BPCS file that stores the beginning inventory balances
for an item/whs/locaiton for previous periods other than the beginning
balance for the current period (ILI, IWI, IIM). One of the reasons that I
have seen this request in the past is because a company wants to be able to
track (and maybe graph) a change in inventory position from month to month.
Though the data is available between the ILI, IWI, IIM and ITH files, the
ability to quickly get this information in a format that allows for this
tracking and graphing takes more thought and planning.

This would not be difficult to capture. A new file and program would have
to be developed and the program would be run at month-end along with (or as
part of) INV900.

Does anyone know if there is any place in BPCS where the period starting
inventory history is stored?
