We have always used our own programs to print bills-of-lading. We are now finishing the modifications to conform to the VICS format. After searching for a source of ready-made forms in this format we met with our primary forms vendor and arranged for them to prepare a pre-printed form. Delivery is expected in the next two weeks. Currently, we are using Roadway Express software where we key in the information for the VICS Bill of Laiding and let that system print the BOL out. One of our customers refuse to accept the VICS BOL as it is generated from Roadway Express. My question is 1) Has anyone attempted to re-write the BOL in BPCS to fit VICS, and what kind of issues did you have? 2) Is anyone using a third party software package to produce a VICS BOL, what software package are you using, and can you purchase pre-printed forms for this package?
