In BPCS 6.x , the Pick Confirm and Ship Confirm applications perform data
captures for shipment information that might flow to a Bill of Lading
document and its electronic equivalents ... (in 5.1 it's called Pick/Ship
Confirm ... one app) ...

At our client sites, the project leaders all rejected OLM ... This may, or
may NOT, have a bearing on what we had to work with ... but at any rate,
BPCS did not produce what we needed ... so we wrote a complete shipment
information data entry module that produces a VICS uniform Bill of Lading
document and the requisite array of eDocuments.

It is part of our eCommerce integration toolset .. ... Runs about 25,000
lines of code ... Has about 2.5 man years in it, much of which is oriented
to producing EDI and EDIFACT documents ...

So, if you haven't found what you need in the base product, it's probably
not because you haven't looked hard enough ... We didn't find it either ...
If you want to write your own module to do the task you can use our
experience as a metric, but keep in mind that the scope of what we produced
may be a lot broader than what you want to accomplish ..

Hope this helps ...
