At version 405 CD, Billing comes from BB* file that comes from Shipping, which also populates a bunch of ES* files, copying much data from original EC* customer orders, and sending "B" to ITH. These records can be interlinked using original customer order #, line # of that order, document # of shipment & other key factoids. Billing generates data to several files, including SIH SIL RAR & I am not sure what populates SSH & SSD. SIH has the header total info on the invoice such as the grand total & ECH type linkage information, SIL has individual lines of the invoice, such as quantity of what item at what price that got shipped, RAR has the account information that the customer owes for the invoice. I rather doubt that there is anything in RAR to uniquely link directly to SIL. I think it would be easier to link RAR to SIH since at that level you should have the grand total information on the invoice, the customer #, date of shipment, and other details. SIL can link to SIH using invoice #. I am not at the office right now, but if you can get at the source code, or to a command line & DSPFD you can get layout of these files & see if invoice # is in RAR, like it is in SIL. I am pretty sure RAR has that much. Be careful about field names which can be misleading relative to population. We get our shipping document # from someone keying in at shipping time & human beings can sometimes have a typo. Depending on how you do shipping - grouped by customer order, or individual lines, one document # could be a one line shipment or a cluster of shipments.
