For any System Admins on BPCS AS/400 who were annoyed that you could not use
user profiles or passwords longer than 8 characters in the Fat Client sign
ons when using the ALAUNCH TCP/IP interface - BMR 39659 has been completed
to correct this problem and allow up to 10 character sign ons and passwords.
This fix has 2 parts, one for the PC and one for the AS/400, and there are
special instructions which must be followed to configure the environment and
apply the fix.

In addition, several enhancements are delivered, including a command line
interface to start ALAUNCH, and error checking and error messages given in
user mis-configurations has been improved.

This fix is available for all V6 releases, from V6.0.02 PLF March cume level
through current 6.1.01 + BMRs.

This also allows you to more easily set the job queue name, and the
therefore also better control the subsystem the job will be directed to for
the Fat Client jobs.

This fix is available from the SSA FTP site only, via contacting the SSA GT
International Helpline AS/400 team.
