Count me in! :)

Most of the learned gentlemen and ladies who regularly interact with the BPCS-L
database will have an understanding of the BPCS database certainly to the
levels detailed below, ie. what is the order file and the order number field is
blah blah blah.

If enough people want it, I will develop a source analysis tool and freely
distribute it to all those subscribing to this list, by a show of hands. I'm
only going to do this once so if there are any preferences to what should be
included in this tool then drop me mail via the forum. Closing date for
requests will be this Sunday at midnight GMT.

I will then try to deliver by the end of the week.

Regards

I present this only as a point of clarification. This is not an attempt to
  solicit revenue
but is posted as a result of those on the list who asked for further
  clarification of the

BPCS 'Database' Structure offering from SSA Canada

  Duration:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  ½ day

  Overview:

This course provides a good foundation for clients who want to use Business
Intelligence Tools such as Cognos to efficiently extract data from BPCS
  database.

This seminar explains the architecture of BPCS. Its purpose is to detail the
philosophy of the designs and standards of the products. BPCS is not just a
software product, but a product developed with a design that spans from today
to
the future, while always being capable of change and working with other
software
products. Upon completion of the course the attendees will receive a diskette
  which contains the DB definitions.

The BPCS Technical Overview portion of the presentation outlines the standards
defined by SSA which specify the ?rules? of development. Such rules include:

  i BPCS and AS/SET
  i Library Structures and Lists
  i Products/Naming Conventions
  i Programming Standards
i System Defaults and Data Areas
  i Message Handling

The BPCS Cross Reference portion of the presentation explains:

  i What it is
  i What is available
  i Demonstration

  Cost

This course is offered at $ 500.00 USD per person. Minimum class size is 4.
Please contact SSA Canada for further details.
