I don't think this is the case because both packing groups were generated 
the same day. I believe this is something related with the AS/400 
performance. Perhaps, two clients are getting the same value before this is 
incremented. I say this because we were having duplicated records in our 
ITH file but after we installed PTF for the AS/400 performance the 
duplicated records became less frequent.

Start by checking the ranges of all your Next Numbers - such as next
Packing Group#, Invoice, etc.  The way BPCS works is that if your
next number reaches the end of its range, it rolls over and starts
from the beginning again.  This causes duplicate records situations.
