Martha - We've had this exact problem! It has brought our system to a screeching
halt, too. Call the SSA help-line! There are some temporary files, ECHW & ECLW
are 2 of them I can think of that probably have garbage in them. Wait until
everyone is done pick-confirming before clearing these. This was supposed to be
fixed on 6.04 version, which we have, but it still does it! Imagine that!

Subject: ORD570 Lock-ups

We are v.6.0.02 C/S March 98

Does anybody else out there have a problem with the client "locking up"
while in ORD570, Pick Confirm? This happens to us fairly often, probably
once a day. We pick confirm by line, and it happens most often when doing
the final "Accept" for the location, although it can also happen when doing
the "Accept" for the quantity. By "locking up" I mean that there is simply
no response to any commands. It is sometimes possible to [Ctrl] [Alt] [Del]
and end the task, but other times the cursor won't move and there is no
response to pressing any keys, so the only answer is to hard boot the PC.
It causes several problems for us including "B" transactions with no
location, duplicate "B" transactions, and bills of lading with missing
information. And its frustrating for the scale operator who has an
impatient truck driver sitting there.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem or where we can look
for a solution?
