405 CD on OS4 V4r3

ITH is the file with inventory history & it can be a humongous file but
volume of transactions on any one item filter combination should be reasonable

Is the delay consistent all connected devices ... twinax local, PCs local,
remotes?
Is it consistent all items ... those with lots of activity & those with very
little?

Although you did not knowingly do anything, we sometimes have problems when
some new manager makes changes to settings in SYS800 or General Ledger
without proper education in the consequences of such actions. May I presume
that you do regular reorgs both BPCS & IBM, so as to purge your system of
deleted records that BPCS does not automatically clean up? We had strange
things happen to us when BPCS drove our IBM disk space above 100% consumption.
