Wade/All -

I just returned from the SABU (Southern Area BPCS User's) Conference in
Greensboro, NC. The last speaker was Richard E. Gonzales, President, North
America, from SSA. He explained what happened to SSA financially and how
Gores came to acquire SSA. He also tried to reassure us, the users with
major investments in BPCS, that nothing would change. He wanted us to know
that SSA was trying to be as open as possible about the whole situation and
that's why he was speaking.

This Friday, there will be some sort of court ruling and the deal between
SSA and Gores will be finalized 10-15 days later. After that is anybody's
guess. Mr. Gonzalez will have new bosses and despite his reassurances, he
cannot know what will happen when they get there. And I see now that my good
friend Cynthia beat me to the punch on this (no fair, I'm dealing with
fires!) and I agree with her last statement, "I do not think that we will
have any firm answers until after the closing."

Susan
