Some curious statistics ... one set or the other has got to be a misreporting or misunderstanding - I cannot believe that SSA's customer base would be cut to 1/3 in such a short time period. June 2000 Supply Chain Technology News received this week http://www.supplychaintech.com Page 9 says SSA claims a BPCS customer base of 6,500 June/July 1999 Midrange ERP Magazine had the annual ERP Buyer's Guide (this year's not yet out) charted by vertical markets with data supplied by the ERP vendors http://mfg-erp.com Page 49 claims 18,000 plus installed eBPCS sites of which 12,000 are midrange defined by the magazine as AS/400 & NT & Unix (and zero new sites for 1998). It did not say what the remaining 6,000 non-midrange are on or what the figures are for versions of BPCS prior to eBPCS. The only other ERP claiming a larger installed base, to the Midrange ERP Magazine = 19,346 SAP R/3 with 10,989 midrange (6,000 new sites in 1998).
