You will also see the in use flag appear if there is a billing run in process and the user has selected a range of customers or a range of orders. In use flag is a very common occurrance. We took two approaches to the problem. First, in front of every Invoicing run (Bil520), we use an SQL statement to reset any flags. Second, we created a program that listed all orders that had inuse set, it then allows the reset if the user is sure noone is in the order. There are also a couple of other circumstances that will cause order detail to not show up in confirmations, but this is the most prevalent.
