Can be a little harsh on SSA but is still a good read in the morning with a coffee.

As SSA Customers and Professionals I have to imagine that many of us will be concerned about the impact this will have going forward.  I visited their site and their mission appears to be to invest in the growth and development of the companies they acquire. According to their site (and hey, if it's on the Internet, it must be true, right?), "The GTG acquisition process has enabled GTG to implement effective turnaround procedures immediately upon acquisition, thereby enabling the GTG portfolio company to become a successful acquisition immediatly after closing."

Does anybody know any good lists for discussing SSA business related topics? I'm really interested in following the user's, practitioner's, and investor community's reactions to the announcement.

For info on GTC, see http://www.gores.com My initial reaction after reading up on them is cautious optimism. I'd be interested in talking with some people at the companies they've acquired and getting their thoughts too.
