We are 405 CD mixed mode AS/400

We split the list Wayne cited ... and ours is MUCH LONGER than his ... into

jobs that HAVE to be run as part of the End-Fiscal Check list,

that are actually REORG that SHOULD be run weekly & do not have to be done on
the same nite as End-Fiscal,

and those whose updates, like CST900 ought to be at least biweekly but no
harm done if they get run the nite before End-Fiscal ... so this reduces the
volume of tasks for the End-Fiscal -

there are also a ton of General Ledger reports that we have identified can be
run a day or two after the End-Fiscal, which is an issue of tying up JOBQ &
printer

Our Fiscal month falls on the end of the closest calendar week, so that we
have the whole weekend to do it, but rarely need it ... we use a combination
of PCAnywhere for Accountants to dial in from home, and MIS running most of
the EOM jobs from about 5 pm Friday to about 4 am Saturday, so we could
almost do ours in the middle of the week.

Y2K is not the end of my universe, but a re-boot of that old Chinese curse.
The road to success is always under construction.
Stiff in opinions, always in the wrong.
When you want it cheap - you get what you paid for.
When in doubt, read the manual, assuming you can find the right one.
