Well put. Some may say a little defensive, but hey, if they haven't "walked the walk they can't talk the talk" (Full Metal Jacket). There is a lession to be learned here. When calling a help line, make sure you have all the information in front of you. Like error messages, system config etc. Also, let the person on the other end know what things you have tried to fix/troubleshoot yourself, it saves time. Remember, the person on the help desk has been answering calls all day and may have heard the same problem before, so they may possibly know that the fastest way to fix it is to say "apply the lastest BMR."
