Hello,

We are on 4.05CD but probably the physical inventory concepts are the same.

Though I see no problem with strictly entering order during the physical
inventory process, there are some gotchas in allowing order entry access.
Primarily what we have experienced is a problem with allocation that has been
done either during the batch allocation program (ORD400) or allocated
directly via ORD500. Since the count on every inventory location is subject
to change, allocations can become a problem. For that reason, we ship every
order we want to ship before physical, deallocate manually every order that
has been previously allocated and then run the tags and do the count. We do
not allow system activity until we have processed the physical inventory
update. These methods have been formed from doing this process several times
and we find this method to work the best.

HTH
