Y2K Compliance BMR's

Based on recent postings to the BBB, and the huge interest received by
Slawomir Waligura, the following may be of help to some BPCS users.

Yes, upgrade paths have been provided by SSA to provide Y2K compliance, BUT
SOMETIMES Y2K PROBLEMS HAVE STILL BEEN IDENTIFIED AFTER MILLENNIUM
SOLUTIONS RAN THE 'MS4 Audit' SUITE OVER BPCS v6.04 ON BEHALF OF SEVERAL
BPCS CLIENTS.

The biggest issue is the fact that few organisations use the shipped BPCS
software without making in-house modifications and enhancements.  Along
with these modifications and enhancements there are also in-house developed
applications which do not have a Y2K upgrade available and may have been
manually 'fixed'.  This piecemeal approach provides the possibility that
the entire system may not be Year 2000 compliant.
