Mark, I would suggest that any of your other costing requirements could be performed using additional cost sets in the CMF product. Though we are a manufacturing company and not a stock trading corporation, some of the concepts we use may be of use. We use standard cost set 2 for our "frozen" standard and do not change it during the year other than adding new products. We use another cost set for a "flexible" standard and our guideline is that is cost is changed +/- 10% we change it in that cost set. Then we can run comparative costings of our inventory. We wish we could use the actual cost set 1, but often an anomaly in a receipt from the shop floor will skew the results of this cost set.
