Credit Card Processing for Order Entry

We are currently implementing V6.0.04 Green Screen Order Entry and  are
interested to hear whether anyone has accepted Credit Cards as a method of
Payment for Orders. 

 What we want is a process for recording the credit card number on the
order, sending out a batch of them to our Credit Card Authorizer, and then
getting an authorization code back for each order, that shows the credit
card is good.  We would then update the order with the authorization code to
show that the order can now be filled. When the goods are ready to ship we
would again send information to our Credit Card company so that they would
process the charge against the customers credit card and give us the money.
This eliminates the need for invoicing as we get payment as we are shipping
the goods.  

If anyone has ever done this or knows of an add-on to BPCS that would handle
it, I would appreciate knowing about it.
