ECM is the BPCS product to allow batch interfacing.   There are a selection
of ECM "Adapters" that will allow you to perform a variety of BPCS
interface functions such as post inbound customer orders, create outbound
EDI invoices, advanced ship notices, and other processes that vary by the
BPCS 6.x release.  This is the SSA approach to interfacing with BPCS
without drilling into the SMG's or internal batch file processing
procedures.  This is a batch process and not real time.

Ironsides is a real time solution to inbound customer order entry that
interfaces directly into BPCS, not the ECM product.
The ironsides solution also provides order & product inquiry as well, in a
real time environment.
