Sure,

Take the following examples :

With offsets NOT setup on the Bill of Material :
A Parent Part with 14 components creates 14 allocations when a shop order is
opened.

With offsets setup on the Bill of Material :
The same Parent Part with 14 components creates 4 allocations when a shop
order is opened.

The same thing is happening for all parts on which we keyed offsets.

Subject: Re: BOM offsets

Could you supply a little more information on how the allocations are
affected?

Hi folks,

Maybe some of you good people can save my sanity. We are trying to set-up BOM
offsets. At the moment every time an offset is set up on the Bill of Material
it affects the allocations. If the offset is removed and a shop order for the
same part opened everything is fine. We've been through all the obvious
files, parameters and re-orgs with no success.

Thanks in advance,
Gordon.
