BOM900 also re-sequences the Bill of material sequence number.
In BPCS 405 CD there a bill of material is only allowed to have 999 componentes at a given level.
We run BOM900 religously. Once a week. Because our bills have so many components.
I would recommend running it at least monthly.

Subject: BOM900 - Impact of NOT Running?
We have incorrect low-level codes in our bills of material and an
enormous bill of material file. BOM900 takes very long in test.
We have been told that BOM900 corrects low-level codes and that
those codes affect MRP and cost roll-up. We do NOT run MRP, and our cost
roll-ups seem to be working correctly.
Are there any risks in NOT running BOM900?
