I vote for 6.1.

1. 6.1 is a fully patched 6.04 with Euro, better ECM, and improved GUI
(CUI). Other than those additions and improvements, it isn't the large
change past upgrades have been. If you go with 6.04 then fully patch it (and
there are PLENTY of patches) you are most of the way to 6.1. I suspect I've
seen some 6.1 features pop into 6.04 after applying a patch. Probably just
hallucinating.
2. I'm implementing it right now and it's going as well as any 6.04
implementation I've been on, and better than many.
3. Development's and support's focus seems to be shifting to 6.1 so you will
get better response on your issues. The point is approaching where 6.04
fixes will be viewed more as retro-fits than fixes to current product.
