Has anybody else run out of buyer codes?

We are using BPCS v6.0.02 and will soon have more than 36 buyers. As the
buyer code field is 1 character we have exhausted all letters and
numbers and the only solution we can see is to start assigning '$', '@'
etc. as buyer codes (which will not go down too well with the buyers
themselves and could be mis-interpreted on the reports and documentation
we produce).

We have sized a modification to allow 2 character buyer codes but the
cost of doing this is prohibitive. Our buyers are aligned by both
commodity and vendor and there do not appear to be any rules stating
which buyer buys from which vendors for which commodities.

Regards,
Andrew.
