Gary, Unfortunately, there is no FRW file. FRW stands for Financial Report Writer and it is a program that creates an .mdb file and downloads it to a PC for processing by FRW. I'm not sure what makes the download faster or slower but I can tell you that I acheived speeds that were 4 time faster when I've tried downloading from different computers. --Paul >From uucp@uucp1.mcs.net Fri Feb 19 14:30:46 1999 >Received: from uucphost.mcs.net (Uucp1.mcs.net [192.160.127.93]) by Kitten.mcs.com (8.8.7/8.8.2) with ESMTP id QAA23413; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 16:29:07 -0600 (CST) >Received: (from uucp@localhost) > by uucphost.mcs.net (8.8.8/8.8.8) id QAA16903; > Fri, 19 Feb 1999 16:29:06 -0600 (CST) >Received: (from majordom@localhost) > by midrange.com (8.9.1/8.9.1) id PAA11115 > for bpcs-l-outgoing; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 15:50:15 -0600 >Received: (from uucp@localhost) > by midrange.com (8.9.1/8.9.1) with UUCP id PAA10246 > for BPCS-L@midrange.com; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 15:33:53 -0600 >Received: from mail.iserv.net (mail.iserv.net [204.177.184.19]) > by uucphost.mcs.net (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id PAA08713 > for <BPCS-L@midrange.com>; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 15:13:48 -0600 (CST) >Received: from rogers-gary (tnt2-28-17.iserv.net [204.157.28.17]) by mail.iserv.net (8.8.5/8.8.5) with SMTP idi for <BPCS-L@midrange.com>; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 16:20:20 -0500 (EST)QAA17686 for <BPCS-L@midrange.com>; Fri, 19 Feb 1999 16:20:20 -0500 (EST) >X-Envelope-To: <BPCS-L@midrange.com> >Message-ID: <001301be5c4c$a97a7f80$7b5305c7@rogers-gary> >From: "Gary Rogers" <grrogers@countryfresh.com> >To: "BPCS Group Mailing" <BPCS-L@midrange.com> >Subject: FRW Download >Date: Fri, 19 Feb 1999 16:13:11 -0500 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Content-Type: multipart/alternative; > boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0010_01BE5C22.BF4583C0" >X-Priority: 3 >X-MSMail-Priority: Normal >X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.1 >X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3 >Sender: owner-bpcs-l@midrange.com >Precedence: bulk >Reply-To: BPCS-L@midrange.com >X-List-Name: BPCS Users Mailing List (BPCS-L@midrange.com) > >In answer to Brian Glynn's question on downloading FRW file. > >The fastest method I have for downloading files from the AS/400 is a = >product from WRQ called Reflections for IBM. > >I have been using this product for 2-3 years and when I first started = >using it I found it hard to believe the download speed. > >I can download our full IIM file with 10,758 records, 202 fields per = >record, with 1309 bytes per record.
