  • Subject: Purchasing by Facility?

Has anyone found or devised a means of identifying units of measure and
conversion factors at a facility level?

If a common part is purchased globally from different vendors the
vendors often supply the product with different purchasing units of
measure and therefore different unit of measure conversion. The primary
vendor for the part is based on the facility for which the part is being
ordered. Whilst the BPCS facility planning (MRP140) allows the loading
of different primary vendors, there does not appear to be the ability to
identify the different ways this part is purchased.

We are running BPCS v6.0.02 PLF mixed mode in a single environment
supporting several world-wide sites with Facilities for individual
product lines within these sites.

Thanks,
