You also need to be concerned with using 'shared' data before your systems are actually combined. RCM, for instance maintains information on sales, pricing, taxes, sales territories, etc. Just having a common customer master is not sufficient unless you are sure that the usage of the customer record does not conflict between the two companies. This might be better addressed when you actually start the implementation process and identify how the new company will fit BPCS and how it will integrate with the existing company.
