In the old days.....

I had an experience in v4.0.04 where MRP500/MRP600 would encounter a problem
when an item exists on a BOM (in the MBM file) and it did not have an
associated item master or item facility record (IIM and CIC). The problem
occured when MRP500/600 would discover there was not a CIC record for an item
it was trying to plan, it calls a program that retrieves that file info or
creates a CIC record from the IIM when the CIC does not exist...it would just
sit there and loop!!! The ONLY way I know of that this could happen is via a
conversion....so it is not really an SSA problem.

I would start here, if that is not it....Good Luck!
