Yes, it usually means the server is not responding. I can't tell what your client server set up is from your email, however try checking the TCP/IP address is truely pointing to the correct server. Also check the client interface to the server for problems (client access or whatever you use). There may also be a runaway job on the server preventing the hook up. If all else fails, call SSA, ask for a financial helpline consultant, and if you have to leave a voicemail, ask them to perform a word search in their problem tracking scope system for the following words: BPCS 6.02 AS/400 CEA Connection timeout Make sure you ask them to print and fax the descritpions of the problems they find and give a complete fax number (including country and local code if need be). Hope this helps and Good luck! -----Original Message----- From: BPCS-L@midrange.com [SMTP:BPCS-L@midrange.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 1998 5:46 PM To: Hanch, Cathy; BPCS-L Cc: Halsten, Rick; Smith, Jim; Wolf, Gerard Subject: RE: problems w/6.02 ---------- From: BPCS-L@midrange.com[SMTP:BPCS-L@midrange.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 1998 3:41 PM To: Clark, Ruth; bpcs-l Subject: Fwd: In a message dated 98-05-13 15:33:54 EDT, Alain.Faubert@rp-rorer.com writes: > Subj: > Date: 98-05-13 15:33:54 EDT > From: Alain.Faubert@rp-rorer.com (FAUBERT, Alain-Exch) > To: dasmussen@aol.com ('dasmussen@aol.com') > > Hi, my name is Alain Faubert and we are currently implementing CEA from > BPCS 6.02 on AS/400. > > Has anyone encountered connections timeout problem? > > We are in our final test stage with the users and we get BPCS's message > Connection timeout at anytime every day!
