The company I work for closed it's Fiscal Year 98 on February 28, 1998. When we tried to update the period master (GLD105) with the new fiscal year for 99, the program indicated that this was an invalid fiscal year. I contacted the help line and found that this problem was fixed in version 4.06 but not in version 4.04. The 4.06 fixes involve fields that do not exist in version 4.04 and the help line sent me the 4.06 code and sad that is the best they could do. We are also in the process of testing the version 4.05CD to solve our century dating problem and have found that it has the same problem with the period table maintenance. I scanned and found 25 other BPCS programs that reference the 'PYEAR' field in the period master and have not yet analyzed them for a negative impact. I have also talked with SSA's manager of technical service and he advised that we externally update the period master with the FY99 dates and that seems to be working for now. I hope this information will be helpful for those under V4 that will start FY99 this year. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has encountered this problem. --part0_888892602_boundary-- +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "BPCS-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
