Good to hear, Todd - thanks!

Vern,

I had been using the SPL2STMF command in the Esend library, which requires the *WSCST object. The PDFSPLF command works great. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd

We Have ESEND also, and I see the SPLF2PDF - I suspect that is an internal-use command, since there is no help defined for it and the parameters and all seem pretty bare.

There is the PDFSPLF command that does not have a parameter fo a *WSCST object.

Maybe give PDFSPLF a try instead. It DOES have help textm which suggests it is more intended for customer use.

Richard,

The ESend software is installed here. However, the workstation customization object (*WSCST) needed in the SPL2STMF command is a big question mark. Are we talking about the same ESend software?

Thanks,
Todd

If you're a HelpSystems customer, check out the RJS spool file processing software or the Sequel E-Send software.

We offer IBMi Native and Windows based solutions as well.

Can anyone advise of options for converting a spool file to another format (PDF, TIFF, etc)? I realize this can be done in Java with iText but I'm looking for an IBMi-based solution. I've found several off-the-shelf solutions with a quick search. I'd like to know if this is the right route or is there a better open source alternative.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,
Todd
