Larry,

I suspect that Mike Pavlak may jump on this. We had him tied up in a WebEx presentation to our user's group in Utah today, where he walked through getting a "Hello World" script to run.

He stressed the importance of being up on PTF's, prerequisites, and following the documented installation process - which is where most problems occur.

It sounds like the install didn't go well, for you.

Net.Data has fewer prerequisites, and steps.

-Nathan.

Subject: [WEB400] Getting frustrated with Zend

Jim - I don't mean to sound like a complainer, but I am having the same
sort of frustration that I had when I looked at this product a year ago.
Although there is no shortage of online documentation, I can't seem to
find something that walks me through setting up the servers, putting pages
out there, and actually creating a small site. I have spent over 10 hours
going in circles, and still can't even determine whether I have installed
the product properly. Also, when I click on the link to open a ticket, I
get a drop down list of products that doesn't even include Zend Core. It
also says that my support type is "Zend Evaluation." Aren't I supposed to
have something called Silver support?

I am really trying to move from net.data, but this - at least so far - has
been nightmare.
