FWIW, that tn5250 (no J) project has it's own mailing list here on Midrange.com... It's the Linux5250 mailing list. (It was originally a Linux only project, but now is multi-platform)

I'm not sure that we've ever tried to compile lib5250 (which is the relevant component) on i. Might be an interesting experiment.
