For me anyhow I would need to see more of what you are attempting to do;
Adduserid must be a routine elsewhere in your javascript, what does that do?
Is this in a form? Are you just changing where to point your reference when
someone clicks on an object?

    When you use an event like onClick, does it always have to be used with
an object, or can use use it with an a Href. I am having problems getting it
