Hi Scott,
I can't think of how RDI itself would expire the password. It should
detect that it is about expire and ask you if you want to change the pwd
and will prompt you again if the pwd is incorrect.
Keep in mind that other plugins can use the connection to connect to your
IBM i so it could be something else trying to reconnect that is using an
old saved password?

Running as admin will have zero effect on this. In general running as
admin should be avoided for anything other than administering the install,
otherwise it can lead to permissions issues.
Right-click on your connection and select Disconnect (if the option is
present)
Right-click on your connection and select Clear Passwords Expand the
connection, expand Objects, expand the Library List and you should be
prompted for your credentials

It must be one of those strange days. I've tried to change the password
within RemoteSystems/Objects/ Change password as suggested, and I get the
message that the Password does not meet password rules. Even though the
same password entered in green screen works fine.
I'll try again tomorrow, maybe as Administrator.
