Nice utility, but the protable version requires .NETFramework v4.6.2
which makes it not really portable. E.g. I cannot run it on my office
computer.

I'm a happy ShareX user myself (https://getsharex.com/) .

It does a very good job at screenshots and screen recording, and it's
free & open source.

I wish I had good “Screen Recording Software” where I could create
short 10-second RDI tips. But, I haven’t found a good free one yet.

It was many years ago that Jon Paris recommended Jing on one of these
lists. It's been running on my Win 7 32-bit machine ever since. I
just installed it on my home PC Win 10 64-bit and it works fine there
too. https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html It's not Camtasia -
it's great for annotating screen caps and for taking brief videos (like
you say, 10 seconds).
