Well, it involves Java, which has undergone several iterations of
"here's The Right Way to do graphics", some of which might not really
utilize super-high-DPI displays well. There might also be issues with
interactions between Java and the Mac (don't know if the same problems
would show up in Windows retina displays; they might).
