Ken & Mark -

Thanks very much for your help. Definitely gave a heads up to developers on this. And will take a look at RPG Toolbox!

Thanks -

Ken -

Thanks for your reply. You have to select code that you want to reformat first, right? Ctrl+Shift+F does not work on unselected code I thought.

Thanks -

Mike,

By chance did they do the Ctrl+Shift+F to format the code with build-in formatter? Instead of using something like RPG Toolbox by Help-systems/Linoma?

The build-in code formatter updates all the date. Why the Help-System/RPG Toolbox does not! <Hint Hint>

Just asking...

Subject: [WDSCI-L] All Source Line Dates Changed Except Comments

Hi -

I have a couple of developers that have reported that all source line dates for a program changed except for the comments. This happened for both RPGLE and CBLLE source types. The only common thread is that those developers are using RDi 9.5.1 with fix pack 2.

I don't see any way that this could be done without explicit reformatting of the code. And the developers say that they did not do a reformat.

Am I overlooking a system setting or other explanation?

Thanks -

Mike W.

If you do Ctrl-Shift-F with no code selected, it reformats the entire source.

Mike,

I do not work for Help-systems, but I have been using the RPG Toolbox for over 2-decades!!!

https://www.helpsystems.com/products/rpgtoolbox-ibmi

I recommend the RPG toolbox, it is wonderful! And it does not change the dates! It is vastly superior to the built-in-formatter!
