Re: Multiple Member Compile

I may be misunderstanding here, but this is what I do:

* Ctrl-click the members to select all of the members I wish to compile.
* Right-click and expand "Remote Actions >"
* If mixed member types, choose "Compile", otherwise expand
"Compile(XXXX)" and choose the desired option.
* let them process. A fly-out pane appears and you can <> back & forth
through the compiles.
* If there is an error, click the error. The member will open at the
error, with all error messages in red. A blue check appears as each
error is corrected.

I create an iProject and add the members to it, so all my editing is done on my workstation, and then at compile time it is pushed to the iSeries and compiled.

I created a user action to compile CL or RPGLE. I created member filter containing all the source members that need re-compiled. So I select them all and use my user action to compile them all.

Short of going into each and every compile listing in my spool file (and going to the bottom), how do I know which members (if any) failed to compile?

Before someone suggests the Job Log tab, please know that this tab OFTEN goes blank (as do some of my other tabs (Commands Log and Error List). Usually I can "maximize" the tab and it will restore... not so with the Job Log tab.

With SEU, I could simply look for a QPJOBLOG in my spool file following the compile listing.
