Hi Dan, we used RLKC server but we switched (as soon as possible) to single
user licence.

The real problem was setting up the users in Rational Licence Key Center
and link them with order numbers.

Let me know if you still have problems.

2016-11-01 15:55 GMT+01:00 Dan <dan27649@xxxxxxxxx>:

Readers with excellent memory may recall my previous post about a license
server for RDi RPG/COBOL tools. I have confirmed that we have a floating
license. I have suggested to the decision makers that that might not be
the best option for us. But, the decision has been made, and we have a
floating license. (Done, non-negotiable, I tried.)

Unfortunately, we have no license server currently set up, so Mike Hockings
has graciously been sending us trial extensions every two months. This is
tiring for everyone involved, but the one person in our shop who is able*
to set up said server is so swamped with higher priority projects, that it
may never get done.

*The truth is, I don't know what all is involved in setting up a license
server. Is there documentation available for this? Interestingly, I just
found a three year old comment in this list from Marco Facchinetti who said
"The good news is that you can install the license server on the same
machine running RDP." If true, can someone tell me how to do this? I'm
the only one here using RDi, so I'm the only user that needs access to the
server.

(FWIW, I'm using v9.5.0.3 on Windows 7.)
